Thank you for reading the news about Peter Crouch defends ‘unappreciated’ Mohamed Salah and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Former England international and Liverpool striker, Peter Crouch, said that Mohamed Salah is underappreciated even by Liverpool fans.
Despite becoming Liverpool’s 13th all-time top goalscorer with 118 goals to his name in just over three years at Anfield, Salah has been subject to a lot of stick.
He is usually criticized for his lack of consistency and has been recently attacked for diving by fans and pundits alike.

However, Crouch thinks that Salah has overachieved and believes the way he’s been treated is unfair.
“I feel there is an expectancy with Salah that he will score 30 goals a season, as if it is just a run-of-the-mill achievement,” he told the DailyMail.
“I know he has won a lot of individual awards but I’m not sure he is widely appreciated — even by Liverpool fans.
“Let me put it like this: people still talk about Ian St John with great respect and reverence.
“Everyone knows he was the man who scored the goal that won Liverpool their first FA Cup and he is spoken of with great fondness, 56 years on. He gave Liverpool a decade of unbelievable service.
“Salah’s goal in Leipzig last week took him level with St John in the all-time scoring charts.
“He’s got to that level in just over three seasons. I find that absolutely staggering but it’s not as if we make a big fuss of what he has done.

“I don’t feel he’s been loved by supporters in the way they were besotted with Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres yet he’s won all there is to win and outscored both.
“I don’t know whether it’s because Salah is just ruthlessly efficient but my gut feeling is that he deserves a bit more respect,” he concluded.
This season alone Salah already has 24 goals to his name, with 17 of them coming in the Premier League, putting him on top of the goalscoring charts.
