Thank you for reading the news about Mosimane fears reunion with former Sundowns player ahead of Simba clash and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has acknowledged the difficulty of their game against Tanzanian giants Simba, while identifying their key threats.
Al Ahly are set to visit Simba SC next Tuesday, February 23rd at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, in the second group stage game of the CAF Champions League.

Both teams had a winning start to their campaign, with the Reds beating Al-Merrikh 3-0 at home while Simba came out victorious in Congo against Vita Club.
The Red Devils had suffered a defeat the last time they visited Simba back in 2019 under the leadership of Martín Lasarte.
However, this time they will seek revenge as the winner of the encounter will boost their chances of reaching the quarter-finals, something which Pitso Mosimane is eyeing to achieve early.
“Al Ahly was greatly affected by the tough matches in the Club World Cup, and this is what caused many absences due to injury after the tournament,” Pitso said in his pre-match press conference.
“However, the experiences we gained from participating in the Club World Cup will benefit us greatly.

“We have a full focus now on facing Simba, and what we are trying to achieve in the tournament and not thinking about the past.
“We look at the group schedule this season in a different way and we are seeking to secure qualification early, unlike last season, in which we qualified at the expense of Al Hilal in the last round.
“We do not have technical changes related to the weather, but if there are changes in the plan or the way of playing it will be in order to beat Simba here.
“We respect Simba, but without exaggeration because they also have the same desire to win.
“Simba is a distinguished team, but we only came here in order to clinch victory, and we believe we could achieve this in front of a strong opponent who has a big fanbase here,” the South African added.
The game will see Pitso reunite with Luís Miquissone, who he coached during his time at South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Mozambique international had joined Sundowns back in January 2018, but was loaned out almost immediately to the likes of Chippa United, Royal Eagles FC, and UD Songo, before joining Simba permanently in January 2020.
And Pitso is worried about facing Miquissone, naming him as one of the Simba’s most valuable assets ahead of the clash.
“I studied Simba well. They have good individuals, especially Luís Miquissone, the Mozambican player that I know since I was with Sundowns,” Mosimane revealed.
“In addition to the striker No.7 [Chris Mugalu] and the player No.14 [Meddie Kagere], all of this confirms that we are facing a strong and organized team, but we are seeking to achieve a positive result to secure early qualification,” he added.
