Senegalese referee, Maguette N’Diaye, has been chosen by FIFA to officiate the Club World Cup third place decider between Al Ahly and Palmeiras.

Al Ahly qualified to the Club World Cup semi-finals, for the third time in their history, where they lost to European champions Bayern Munich.

They will now face Copa Libertadores champions Palmeiras in the third-place encounter on Thursday, February 11.

Senegalese official Maguette N’Diaye will be in charge of the game and will be assisted by fellow countrymen Djibril Camara and Al-Hadji Samba.

This will be N’Diaye’s second game in charge of an Egyptian team as he was the referee during Egypt’s encounter against Uganda in the 2019 AFCON group stages.
