Khama Billiat

- Yasmine El Tohamy - Agent of Khama Billiat agent has refused to rule out a move for the Kaizer Chiefs’ forward to either Al Ahly or Zamalek next summer.

It has been reported that Egyptian powerhouses Al Ahly and Zamalek will attempt to sign Zimbabwean forward Khama Billiat in the upcoming transfer window.

Since his breakthrough season with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016, Billiat has been constantly linked with a move to North Africa.

The player is entering his final six months of his contract with Kaizer Chiefs, which reignited rumours about him coming to Cairo.

However, according to KickOff.com, Chiefs have an option to extend the 30-year-old’s contract by a further year and willing to exercise it.

Despite all that, Billiat’s agent Godfrey Bakasa has left the door open for all parties involved, stressing there is no rush in starting negotiations.

“Khama still has a running contract with Kaizer Chiefs,” Godfrey Bakasa told KickOff.com.

“So any interest right now is going to be made through Kaizer Chiefs, or are made through Kaizer Chiefs. So I can’t really confirm that question [if it’s true that Zamalek and Al Ahly are interested].”

“I think both parties right now are really looking into getting Khama fit so that he plays the remaining games and if there are negotiations being made, it will be announced in due course,” Bakasa explains.
