Thank you for reading the news about Emirati giants keen on signing Ahmed Sayed Zizo from Zamalek – Report and now with the details

- Yasmine El Tohamy - It has been reported that Emirati powerhouse, Al Ain, are keen on signing Zamalek forward Ahmed Sayed Zizo in the current winter transfer window.

Zizo became a fan-favourite among the Whites fans, having played a major part in Zamalek’s domestic and continental success last season.

The 24-year-old’s 17-goal involvements [nine goals and eight assists] guided Zamalek to the CAF Super Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup titles.

His performances caught the attention of several clubs, with Zamalek’s arch-rivals Al Ahly reportedly being interested in him.

Egyptian football agent, Nader Shawky, previously confirmed that an unnamed Emirati club started negotiations with Zizo and now it seems that an official offer has been submitted.

According to local reports, Al Ain have offered the White Knights €2.5m for the former Moreirense man’s services.

The Boss want to sign Zizo during this window, while Zamalek are refusing to let go of him now and prefer to wait until the end of the season.

Zizo, whose contract ends in 2022, seems to prefer the move abroad especially that the wages offered by Al Ain are much higher than the one he’s currently taking with Zamalek.

Al Ain have had a couple of Egyptian in their ranks before, most notably Al Ahly’s current winger Hussien El-Shahat, and there are also Omar Yaisien and Ahmed Jamal who currently ply their trade with the Emirati giants.

The Cairo giants are also already on the verge of losing their number one striker Mostafa Mohamed whose move to Ligue 1 outfit, Saint-Etienne, seems to be in its final steps.

Additionally, it appears that Tunisia international, Ferjani Sassi, is also heading out, meaning that they could lose three of their key players this transfer window.

The club have already been going through a turbulent time since Mortada Mansour’s departure, as they announced that late player dues have amounted to EGP100 million.
