“He’s on stage, it’s over, I’m signing autographs and all, so Michael comes over and he talks to Don, he doesn’t talk to me. … I say ‘just let me go ahead and meet Mike’ because that’s why I’m really here, I want to meet Mike.
“And then I go over to meet Mike … and he goes like, ‘Don’t I know you from somewhere? Where do I know you from? ‚
“He broke my ego, he knocked me down.
“I said, ‘No, I’m just a fan, it’s my pleasure to meet you sir. He said ‘OK’ and then got out and got in the car. ‚
Tyson admitted he had refused to let go of the nudge for years until Jackson finally invited him to hang out – an offer the fighter originally turned down.
“I said, ‘OK, I’m coming, I’m over there,’ right?
“So I got on a plane, went there, hung out, and we just started hanging out. And I said, ‘F ** k man, he’s a good guy.
“But in my mind I said, ‘Why did you play me anyway, Mike, why did you play me like that? You knew who I am, why did you play me? ‘”
