The Ismaili official website stated, on Saturday, that Omar Al-Wahsh was confirmed as officially absent from Tuesday’s position after suffering an injury in the posterior muscle in Maran on Friday.
The Ismaili leader performed x-rays to determine the extent of his injury and the length of his absence from the team before continuing in group training again.
Ismaili is playing its last game this season locally, but the yellow team still has a second leg against Moroccos Raja Casablanca, in the semi-final second leg of the Arab Championship.
Ismaily occupies eleventh place with 41 points, equal in number of points with the duo Misr El Maqsas and Vanguards of the Army.
On the other hand, Zamalek is in second place with 65 points, one point behind the third-placed Pyramids.
Zamalek is seeking to win in order to ensure the second place and qualify for the African Champions League competition after Al-Ahly secured the first card, in return, Pyramids will face its rival, the Arab Contractors.
