A source close to Amr Al-Ganaini, head of the five-year committee entrusted with the management of the Egyptian Football Association, denied the validity of the news circulating about his resignation from the Commercial International Bank (CIB).

The source indicated to “Yallakora” that Al-Janaini continues his banking work normally, and that he was present in his office this Thursday morning and did not submit his resignation as was rumored.

The source stated that Al-Ganaini went to the Football Association after the end of his daily work cycle at the bank, to start his work as chairman of the Five-Year Committee and meet with Muhammad Fadl and Ahmed Abdullah, Mahmoud Saad, Director of the Technical Football Association, Walid Al-Attar, Executive Director, and Hossam Al-Zanati, Director of Competitions.

The arrangement for the match between Zamalek and Al-Raja in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals on November 1 is among the priorities, in addition to the preparations for the final match on November 6, which are strongly recommended to be embraced by the Cairo Stadium.

Al-Ganaini will also discuss in his meeting determining the last round matches in the Premier League, especially the fateful confrontation of Zamalek and Ismaili, which determines the White’s qualification for the African Champions League next season or Pyramids.
