Former Liverpool right-back Steve Finnan is selling his winner’s medals and shirts on the Graham Budd Auctions auction website.
The Irishman won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005 and has been an integral part of his squad for most of the 1990s. Though it looks like his entry into the real estate business has gotten worse. With the world grappling with the impending recession, Finnan is no different. Finnan Developments, which is listed at Companies House, based in Raynes Park in south London – near Wimbledon where he played as a teenager – has been liquidated.
That would explain why he sells his medals and match worn jerseys.
The prices for his memorabilia start relatively low. The 2005 Carling Cup medal is currently between £ 800 and £ 1200, and his jersey from that game sells between £ 700 and £ 1000.
His Champions League winner’s medal, on the other hand, is between £ 12,000 and £ 15,000 and his signed shirt from the AC Milan game costs £ 2,000 to £ 2,500.
