The All Blacks have confirmed the return of Beauden Barrett in 15th place for the second game of the Bledisloe Cup at Eden Park on Sunday but will have to forego Sam Whitelock.
Barrett missed the exciting Bledisloe opener last week due to an Achilles tendon problem and his return to the side is a huge boost for New Zealand after drawing a 16:16 opener.
Whitelock was banned from the game due to a concussion and replaced by Tupou Vaa’i, who is starting for the first time.

Codie Taylor was transferred to the bench, as was Rieko Ioane, after bombing a particular attempt with an over-elabarote dive.
“Our preparation this week has been really good,” said head coach Ian Foster. “It was our first test together last weekend and while there were some aspects of our game that we were really looking forward to, especially when it came to our set piece, we didn’t get the performance we wanted so there was a lot work for us on.
“We have to be smarter and more defensive with our ball.”
