Good morning Tottenham fans. Here is your morning overview for Wednesday October 13th.

Tottenham’s ‘Big Six’ spot has been rated in controversial plans

The project big picture proposals tabled by Liverpool and Manchester United have sparked much debate in English football this week, with the future of the Premier League and sport across the country at stake.

Under these proposals, the Big Six plus Everton, Southampton and West Ham United would have more control over the operation of the Premier League if more funds were distributed in the pyramid.

Tottenham Hotspur is counted as a member of the Big Six, but their place as an elite member of the Premier League is a somewhat new development.

The Portuguese football expert gives the new Spurs striker the tip to shine

According to Portuguese football expert Tiago Peres Costa, life in the Premier League will be “easy” for Tottenham Hotspur’s new striker Carlos Vinicius.

Vinicius moved to Spurs for the 2020/21 season on loan from Benfica. After a season in which the Brazilian scored 24 points and assisted 13, he finished the top scorer in the Portuguese NOS league and Costa believes the striker will continue that form in England.

“He’s a striker, a number nine, a striker with mobility and he has a great left foot,” said the sports TV journalist Official Spurs website.

“One of the things he can improve is his right foot work, but last year he developed his head game – he scored a lot of goals with his head.

“When he arrived in Portugal he wasn’t very good in his head but now he’s developed that part of his game very well.

“He is only 25 years old. He’s very tall, he’s strong against defenders, he’s very good at taking and holding the ball and connecting with the players around him to get them into the area. He’s very good with his left foot – he hits the ball very well with it. ”
