Thank you for reading the news about Zamalek respond to Ary Papel’s threats of taking legal action and now with the details
Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek director of football Amir Mortada has responded to Ary Papel’s threats of taking legal action against the club.
Papel has had a respectable season with Primeiro de Agosto, scoring once in eight CAF Champions League appearances.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Zamalek for a while, with Papel claiming that he already signed contracts with the Cairo giants three months ago.
However, the winger slammed the club’s board, specifically Amir Mortada, for not responding to his messages and not paying his salary for the last three months.
Mortada has now talked about Papel’s situation, expressing his frustration over the player announcing his deal with Zamalek instead of the club.
“Usually, it’s Zamalek who announce the deals, and this is our policy,” Mortada told Zamalek TV.
He then went on to hint that Papel’s recent comments were driven by the player’s representatives.
“This is the way of agents and brokers, and this certainly does not work for Zamalek,” Mortada said in response to Papel.
Papel is an Angola international forward and has had stints at Portuguese clubs Sporting CP and Moreirense FC, before returning back to Angola in summer of 2019.
