Al Ahly have sent an official warning to Zamalek president and their Chief Executive over the infringement of the club’s brand and exploiting the “African Club of Century” title, the Reds have announced on Wednesday.

Al Ahly were given the African Club of Century title by Confederation of African Football (CAF) on May 22, 2000 in the attendance of late legendary president Saleh Selim.

However, Zamalek have reopened the case once again strongly affirming that they are the side that deserve the title.

Al Ahly stated that according to article no. 90 in the protection of intellectual property, Zamalek have infringed the rights of Al Ahly and store the club’s brand which is considered one of the club’s main investments.

Mahmoud El-Khatib’s board have given Zamalek 15 days to remove their banner, which is hanging at the club’s gate and member’s cards, otherwise the club will take all the legal actions against Zamalek president and CEO to protect their rights.
