According to Greek news reports, Egypt international Amr Warda has been involved in a new online scandal after sending Olympiacos reporter, Demi Stamatelia, unwanted messages.

Warda was involved in a famous sexual harassment scandal during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) when texts and inappropriate images between him and a fan were leaked.

This caused his exclusion from the squad for one game before returning for their 1-0 loss against South Africa in the round of 16. He has since never been called-up for the national team under Hossam El-Badry’s management.

Now, according to Greek news outlet OnSports, Warda was yet again involved in another online scandal after he sent a direct message to Olympiacos reporter Demi Stamatelia on Instagram.

The 26-year-old reportedly met Stamatelia in a store and gave her his contact details but she didn’t reach out to him, which urged him to send her several ‘flirty’ messages but he was ignored.

Warda also invited Stamatelia to Thessaloniki, a costal city next Larissa where he currently resides but she also refused.

The Al Ahly academy graduate’s contract with A.E Larissa, where he spent a season on loan from PAOK, was terminated after failing to appear for a number of training sessions.
