Aston Villa winger Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet stated that they are feeling confident ahead of their EFL Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Trezeguet had sent the Villans to the EFL Cup final after scoring the winner in the dying minutes against Leicester City in the second leg of the semi-finals. They will face Manchester City in the final at Wembley Stadium, on March 1st.

The Villans have set a meeting against Premier League title holders Manchester City who defeated Manchester United in the semifinal.

“We are ready for the cup final. Of course we feel confident because we reached the final after each player worked very hard,” Trezeguet told Aston Villa’s official website.

“Due to this work, we are in the final. I was happy for my goal [against Leicester] but it also came thanks to my teammates who help me a lot.”

“Of course it is an amazing feeling when you play in the Villa Park. Fans always support us and we always fight for them to make them happy. We will do everything and we will wait for them on Sunday.”
