Al Masry vice chairman Mohamed El-Khouli revealed that first team manager Rehab Galal will remain at the club despite poor domestic results.

Al Masry are having a poor run in the Egyptian Premier League this as they sit 12th and won just six points from a possible 15 in their last five games

Following their 2-2 draw against Tanta on Thursday night, Ehab Galal insinuated that he might discuss resigning from his position with the club’s board.

However Al Masry official Mohamed El-Khouli assured that the former Zamalek head coach will keep his job for the remainder of the season.

“We agreed with Ehab Galal that he’ll remain at the club until the end of the season,” El-Khouli told Zamalek TV channel.

“We found many problems that have been harming the club lately and we’ll work on solving them.

“I ask for the Al Masry fans to have our backs to overcome this period. This is the time for them to support the team and the coaching staff,” he concluded.

Contrary to their domestic form, the Green Eagles have been impressive on the continental level as they just reached the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals after finishing second in their group.
