- Yasmine El Tohamy - Al Hilal manager Hamada Sedky talked about his side’s chances in reaching the knockout stages of the CAF Champions League.

Al Hilal beat Etoile du Sahel 1-0 on Saturday, thanks to Athar El-Tahir’s strike in the 59th minute.

With this victory, Hamada Sedky’s Al Hilal are now third in Group B with six points after three games played, just behind Al Ahly and Etoile and goal difference.

Sedky talked about his side’s win and their chances of reaching the knockout stages.

“We have two games left in Sudan against Etoile and Al Ahly and one game away in Zimbabwe,” said Sedky.

“I think that Al Hilal, Al Ahly and Etoile have equal opportunity in qualifying for the next round. We have to win all of the games that will be held in Sudan.

“The win gave us a lot of hope and now the players are more excited as well as the fans’ ambitions.

“Our players feared the fans a bit in the first-half but they managed to pull through and then as the game went on the players overcame their fear and we were able to make the most of the counter-attacks,” he concluded.
