Dubai - Yasmine El Tohamy - Zamalek manager Patrice Carteron has talked about his side’s draw against Zesco United in Group A of the CAF Champions League.
The White Knights drew 1-1 against Zesco United on Saturday as Zamalek are now second in Group A with four points after three games played.
Mostafa Mohamed opened the scoring for Zamalek in the 72nd minute before Quadri Aladeokun grabbed the equalizer for Zesco six minutes later.

“I am proud of the players today. They were real warriors on the pitch, especially [Mohamed] Abou-Gabal.,” Carteron said in a press conference after the game.
“We had the chance to win today despite the tough circumstances, but our hopes of qualification are still alive.
“It was a tough game today but the players were responsible, worked hard and now, we remain in second place.

“Taking charge of this team during the season is a tough task because of the number of games we play.
“A draw against Zesco is an acceptable result and hopefully, the results get better in the next games,” he added.
Zamalek are currently fourth in the Egyptian Premier League table with 15 points after nine games played, nine points behind league leaders Al Ahly.
The White Castle’s next game will be in the Egyptian Premier League against newly-promoted side Aswan on Thursday. Kick-off takes place at 19:30 CLT.
