According to South African news reports, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have decided on potential dates for the Champions League and Confederation Cup finals.

The CAF Champions League final, along with the Confederation Cup final, was set to take place by the end of May. However, the games were postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Champions League semi-finals were composed of two Egyptian teams and two Moroccan teams, with Zamalek set to face Raja Casablanca while Al Ahly were to face Wydad Casablanca.

Meanwhile, the CAF Confederation Cup would’ve seen Moroccan clubs RS Berkane and Hassania Agadir face-off for a spot in the final. With the other semi-final including Pyramids FC and Guinea’s Horoya AC.

South African magazine KickOff revealed that they discovered in leaked documents CAF’s plan for their competitions’ future.

Firstly, they are considering moving the Champions League semis to a date between July 31st and August 2nd, with the Confederation Cup proposed for a week later.

Nonetheless, if the situation doesn’t improve by then, all eight semi-finals will take place between September 4th and 13th. Meaning that the finals will be held between September 23rd and 27th.
