Jeddah - Yasmine El Tohamy - NAJRAN: Under the patronage of Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz, a virtual ceremony was held on Saturday to celebrate the graduation of 12,906 students and trainees from Najran University, the colleges and institutes of technical and vocational training and the secondary level of public education.

The ceremony was attended by the director of Najran University, Falah Al-Subaie; the director general of education in Najran, Dr. Malfi Al-Otaibi; the director general of technical and vocational training in the region, Saeed Al-Jabbar; and the director of education in Sharorah governorate, Fahd bin Saleh Aqala.

On behalf of the graduates and the people of Najran, Prince Jalawi thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for attaching great importance to the health of citizens and residents.

He also highlighted the care that the education sector receives and how education has continued despite the difficult circumstances.

Prince Jalawi hailed the efforts of the educational staff in the region to complete the educational process successfully. He also praised the parents and guardians who have joined forces with educational institutions to overcome all challenges and circumstances.

He urged the graduates to participate in the development of their country.

Al-Subaie said that 2,914 students have graduated this year from Najran University.

Al-Otaibi said that 6,554 secondary school students have graduated this year, 3,126 of whom are male and 3,428 are female.

The director of education in Sharorah governorate highlighted that 1,403 secondary school students have graduated this year in Sharorah, 731 of whom are female and 672 are male.

Al-Jabbar said that 2,035 trainees have graduated this year from technical colleges, branches of secondary industrial colleges and institutes, and private institutes in the region.
