Al-Harthy is a Saudi writer and journalist with more than 25 years of experience in the media field. He holds two master’s degrees in international journalism from City University of London, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He is the President of the Saudi Media Forum and President of the Saudi Media Award, and a board member of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers. He was the editor-in-chief of the English-language Arab News newspaper, Sayidaty magazine, and the man.

Al-Harthy headed the editor-in-chief of AboutHair and worked as editor-in-chief of Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper. He is a founding member of the Young Arab Leaders Forum in Davos in the Middle East, a member of the Gulf Project 2000 at Columbia University in New York, and a member of the British Syndicate of Journalists NUJ.
