The Houthi group “Ansar Allah” in Yemen announced that it had shot down an American-made “Scan Eagle” spy plane, this morning, Saturday.

On his Twitter account, the Houthi military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said: “Our air defenses were able to shoot down an American-made (Scan Eagle) spy plane while it was carrying out hostile actions this morning in the airspace of the Juba area in Ma’rib governorate.”
He added, “The plane was shot down with a suitable weapon, and the scenes of the wreckage will be broadcast later,” noting that “this plane is the sixth of the same type that our air defenses managed to shoot down this year.”
