The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque is preparing to receive visitors and pilgrims tomorrow, Friday, to attend the two Friday sermons and perform prayers with a package of services, most notably the opening of 50 doors for entry and exit.
The presidency indicated that more than 4,000 male and female workers have been allocated for washing operations that reach 10 times a day.
For his part, the Under-Secretary of the General President for Services, Field Affairs and Environmental Protection Investigation, Muhammad Al-Jabri, confirmed that “the agency has raised the level of its readiness for Friday prayers, coinciding with the announcement of benefiting from the full operational capacity of the Grand Mosque, with a package of service, field and operational measures that will provide a safe and reassuring environment for visitors and pilgrims.” The Sacred House of God should be allowed to perform their rituals in a spiritual atmosphere surrounded by reverence and serenity.”
He added: “The start will be from Friday morning with the procedures for preparing, sterilizing and brushing new carpets, and in each disinfection process, more than 80,000 liters of disinfectants are consumed, and 100 scented oases are operated inside the King Fahd expansion in its roles, and the Grand Mosque and its courtyards are perfumed with 1,500 liters with the finest types of perfumes.” .
He continued, “About 25,000 liters of sterilizers are used to sterilize all surfaces, in addition to more than 500 automatic devices for sterilizing hands with a sensor feature, 20 Biocare devices, 11 smart robots for sterilization, and 550 hand sterilization pumps.”
He explained, “All entrances to the Grand Mosque are equipped with thermal cameras that monitor body temperature to detect the symptoms of suspects in case they are exposed to the virus, and it is also done by a color-dealing mechanism, and the cameras can examine 6-8 people per second.”
He stressed that more than 50,000 packages of “Zamzam water” will be distributed for Friday prayers, and made available on all sites.
