smuggling attemptsThe Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam has thwarted attempts to smuggle a quantity of the narcotic “cocaine”, which was found hidden inside the stomachs of 6 passengers who came to the Kingdom through the airport.

The authority explained that when conducting the inspection and inspection process on the passengers of one of the flights coming to the Kingdom through King Fahd International Airport, the customs inspector suspected 6 passengers of the flight, and the application of suspicious criteria, by examining them through visceral x-ray systems, the examination was positive.

She indicated that a total of 244 capsules were found inside the guts of these travelers, all containing more than 2.6 kilograms of “cocaine.”

She stressed that the smugglers are seeking to exploit everything to introduce such contraband and others into the Kingdom, including the attempt to enter drugs by hiding them inside the guts, but the authority is standing by through all its customs outlets in front of their miserable attempts, in order to achieve its most important pillars and responsibilities, which is to protect the homeland and its capabilities from these pests.

It is noteworthy that the authority was able earlier this week to thwart an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of Captagon pills, amounting to 1.6 million Captagon pills, through Jeddah Islamic Port, which were hidden in a consignment of a “truck” that came to the Kingdom through the port.
