Jeddah - Yasmine El Tohamy - DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have paid their condolences following the death of Mauritania’s former president Sidi Ould Sheikh Abdallahi, the Saudi Press Agency has reported.

Abdallahi, who was the country’s first democratically elected president, died on Monday.

He died at a private clinic in the capital city of Nouakchott due to heart complications.
