The Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality has added a non-commercial product service on the Saber electronic platform, to allow beneficiaries to submit an application for imported consumer products provided that they are not intended for sale or trade, and to electronically register a certificate of conformity with the consignment in order to expedite and facilitate the release of products at customs outlets.
This step comes as one of the elements of the strategic plan and initiatives pursued by the Saudi specifications, after it worked to continuously improve and develop the Saber platform to remove any obstacles that may stand in front of the platform’s beneficiaries, and to employ technology to serve the local economy.
The Saudi specifications called on beneficiaries to enter the website of the Saber platform and learn more about new services and product registration through Saber.sa, indicating that the Saber electronic platform has been developed in cooperation with the technical partner, Thiqa, according to the highest standards of efficiency, to move forward towards achieving the vision Kingdom 2030 digital transformation.
