The Pleiades are an open stream cluster containing about 500 stars. According to recent measurements, the Pleiades were born from the same cloud of gas and dust only about 100 million years ago compared to the age of the sun of 4 and a half billion years.

The stars of the Pleiades are linked by the exchange of gravity with each other, and are 430 light-years from the Earth, and these seven sisters are pushing together through space, and many of them are thousands of times brighter than the sun.

When taking pictures of this cluster, the effect of the nebula from which these stars were formed will appear, and through binoculars, many more stars than the seven sisters will appear, and through a large telescope, some nebular material can be seen around the stars.

As a general rule, the Pleiades cluster appears above the eastern horizon before Aldebaran, and sets before it, and the only exception to this rule will be for residents of southern latitudes “south of the equator,” where the Pleiades rise shortly after Aldebaran rises.

And for us in the northern hemisphere; The Pleiades cluster is linked to the winter season, however, it will be observed in the evening sky from now until April 2021.

Currently, the chandelier appears low on the eastern horizon some time after the beginning of the night, and reaches high in the sky at midnight and descends towards the west before dawn just like the sun during the day, and this is an apparent movement due to the rotation of the earth on its axis.

In general, the Pleiades star cluster is visible in the northern hemisphere at night, coinciding with late autumn and moving towards winter, and the chandelier can easily be imagined as a frozen smudge on the dome of the night sky.
