According to the memorandum of understanding, the parties of the partnership will work to support Saudis and Saudi women working in the activity of steering vehicles through smart applications (guided transport), raising the efficiency of the activity, and activating different types and methods of work, including self-employment.
According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development will allow the free worker to register in the activity as a driver of a transport vehicle directed at the self-employment portal and issue a self-employment document for him, as well as follow-up and supervise the progress of the support program and review the periodic reports on the program.
According to the memorandum, the Ministry and the Fund will work in coordination and integration of efforts with other relevant parties, which are the Public Transport Authority, which is concerned with organizing and issuing licenses for vehicle steering activity, and the Future Work Company concerned with managing electronic connectivity and technically running the program through the freelance platform.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding comes from the integration and collaboration of efforts between the government and the private sector, to stimulate Emiratisation and support efforts to rehabilitate the national workforce and employ them in the private sector and expand targeting other types of work, including self-employment, as well as creating and developing sectoral localization programs for a number of economic activities.
