Seizure of a quantity of weapons and explosives hidden in two locations
The Spokesman for the Presidency of State Security stated that as a result of the security follow-up of the activities of terrorist elements, the competent authorities in the Presidency were able, on 2/5/1442 AH, to overthrow a terrorist cell, whose members received during the period between 9/2 and 20/3 of 1439 AH, Inside Revolutionary Guard sites in Iran, military and field training, including methods and techniques for making explosives. The security investigations led to the identification of these elements, and the identification of two sites for them, from which they took as a den for storing quantities of weapons and explosives. The security operation resulted in the following results:
First: The arrest of the operatives of this cell, numbering (10) accused, three of whom received training in Iran, while the rest were associated with the cell in different roles, and the interest of the investigation requires that the identities of those arrested not be revealed at the present time.
Second: Seizing an amount of weapons and explosives hidden in two locations, one of which is a house, and the other is a farm. The seizures are as follows:
1- Number of (9) explosive elbows, in case of entanglement.
2 – Number of (67) explosive fuses.
3- Number of (51) electrically explosive devices.
4- A wide range of capacitors, electrical transformers and electronic resistors, used in entrapping and manufacturing explosives.
5 – Count (5.28) kg of fine and coarse powder.
6- Number (17) packages containing chemicals.
7- Number (13) transmitters and receivers of electrical signals.
8- Number (2) circuit receiving switch.
9- Four (4) advanced listening devices.
10- Number (1) welding machine.
11- Number (4) Kalashnikov assault rifles.
12- One (1) G3 rifle.
13- Number (1) sniper rifle.
14- Two (2) pistols.
15- One (1) pneumatic hunting rifle.
16- The number (4,620) of various live ammunition.
17- Number (18) machine gun and pistol magazines.
18- A 6-inch plastic homemade gun storage container.
19- (1) bag containing weapon cleaning equipment.
20) 14 white combat weapons (knife).
21 Military clothing.
22- Two (2) sniper scope.
23- (1) Night telescopes.
24. Three (3) wireless communication devices.
25- One (1) laptop computer.
26- Two (2) Qarmen mapping system.
