Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - LONDON — A 24-year-old man has been stabbed to death outside a five-star hotel in London’s Knightsbridge district, in what police believe may have been a targeted robbery. The victim has been identified as Blue Stevens, a father from Yateley, Surrey.

Emergency services were called to Seville Street near the Park Tower Hotel and Casino at 9:24 p.m. on Wednesday, where they found Stevens with stab wounds. Despite efforts by paramedics and the London Air Ambulance, he died at the scene shortly after their arrival.

Witnesses say Stevens had parked his white BMW just 50 yards from where he was attacked. He was reportedly returning to his car when a masked suspect attempted to steal his watch. When Stevens resisted, a violent struggle ensued, resulting in a fatal stab wound to the chest.

According to nearby workers and eyewitnesses, the assailant fled the scene and has not yet been apprehended. Police are actively reviewing CCTV footage and pursuing several lines of enquiry, though no arrests have been made as of Thursday.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

A crime scene remains in place and is expected to remain cordoned off for some time as investigations continue.

A touching tribute was left at the scene by Stevens’s partner, who wrote in a card: “To My Blue. We are all absolutely devastated without you. You took a piece of my heart with you. A part of me has gone with you. I love you more than absolutely anyone in this world. My boy forever and always.”

The fatal stabbing occurred in one of London’s most affluent areas, just yards from Harvey Nichols and near Harrods.

The Park Tower Hotel, where guests can pay up to £1,400 per night, has become the focus of an intense police investigation. It remains unclear whether Stevens had any connection to the hotel or its adjacent casino.

Superintendent Owen Renowden of Kensington and Chelsea Police said detectives from the Specialist Crime Command were “working at pace” to determine what happened, noting that robbery remains a key line of enquiry.

“We understand the impact this incident will have on the local community,” he said. “You will see extra officers in the area to help answer any questions or concerns.”

Cities of London and Westminster MP Rachel Blake said she had contacted police for updates and offered condolences to Stevens’s family, adding that the incident was “deeply distressing for residents and visitors to the Knightsbridge area.”

The killing comes amid increased concern over street crime in central London.

Mayor Sadiq Khan announced this week a new law enforcement campaign focused on the capital’s 20 most affected town centres, including stepped-up patrols to combat knife crime, robbery, and anti-social behaviour. — Agencies
