Oil prices continue to record gains, as Brent crude futures exceeded, during trading on Tuesday, the level of $88 a barrel, for the first time since October 2014.

By 10:47 Moscow time, US crude futures “West Texas Intermediate” rose by 2.24% to $85.70 a barrel.
Brent crude futures rose 1.83% to $88.06 a barrel, according to Bloomberg website data.
This comes in light of fears of possible disruptions to crude supplies, coinciding with the receding of concerns about the impact of the spread of the Omicron mutant on global demand for black gold.
