On its second day, the Airshow 2021 continued the momentum of new contracts and deals, as it recorded today, Monday, 63.5 billion dirhams, the value of contracts and deals announced during the second day of its activities, bringing the total deals announced during the first two days of the event to nearly 201.5 billion dirhams.

During the second day, Emirates announced an investment of 3.67 billion dirhams to expand cargo capacity through a new order for two Boeing 777 freighters and converting four Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft into cargo aircraft during the years 2023 and 2024.

Airbus also signed a letter of intent with Los Angeles-based Airlis Corporation to purchase 111 various aircraft with an estimated book value of about 58.7 billion dirhams, according to the list announced in 2018 for Airbus prices.

The agreement includes 25 A220-300, 55 A321neo, 20 A321XLR, four A330neo and seven A350 freighters.

Embraer also received a confirmed purchase order for three new E175 aircraft, in addition to three purchase rights for the same type of aircraft with the Nigerian company, Overland. According to the book prices, the value of the deal amounts to 1.1 billion dirhams ($299.4 million).
