The FIFA Dispute Resolution Committee issued a ruling against Zamalek, fining him 2.5 million euros in favor of his former player Khaled Boutayeb.

A source from Zamalek – who asked not to be named – told today, Thursday: “The case began with Zamalek filing a complaint against the player after his absence from training, and the player submitted a counter-complaint.”

He continued, “Boutaib had dues amounting to 180,000 euros, and indeed we prepared the check for the amount, but the player did not receive it.”

He continued, “The FIFA Dispute Resolution Committee decided that Zamalek terminated the player’s contract for an unfair reason and accordingly ruled that he obtain 180,000 euros, in addition to the value of the remainder of his contract, bringing the amount to 2,500,000 euros.”

And the source added, “Zamalek has a great opportunity when we go to the Sports Court to cancel that ruling because Boutayeb’s contract was terminated for a just reason after he was absent from training and not attending the club, and we see that our chances are great to win the case.”

Amr Adham, a member of the Zamalek board of directors, said earlier about Boutayeb’s crisis: “A claim from Khaled Boutayeb, and this is an issue in its early stages, and we are trying to deal with it, and he wants to obtain 3 million and 400,000 euros, and this is not a judgment but a claim.”

Boutayeb played for Zamalek, before the latter decided to terminate the player’s contract.

Mortada Mansour, the former president of Zamalek club, revealed earlier the reasons for the termination of Boutayeb’s contract, saying: “Boutaib does not come to the club and refrain from training. We cannot communicate with him, and we decided to terminate the contract with him.”

And in February, before last, Boutayeb submitted a memorandum to prove a right to the Egyptian Football Association, regarding not receiving part of his dues to the White Club, in preparation for the club’s complaint.

The Moroccan international scored 4 goals in 16 participations with Zamalek.

Boutayeb has 8 international goals with the Moroccan national team in 20 appearances in the Atlas Lions shirt.
