Al-Mashat reviewed the strategy of the Ministry of International Cooperation to support the country’s development vision 2030 through economic diplomacy, and its three principles, which include the joint coordination cooperation platform, secondly listing international participation, and thirdly matching development funding to the UN sustainable development goals, to classify the ministry’s ongoing portfolio according to the sustainable development goals. She referred to the development achievements that have been achieved in Egypt over the past years under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the role of development cooperation in supporting the state’s efforts in various areas of development.
The Minister of International Cooperation pointed to the major national projects implemented by Egypt in various fields of development, whether infrastructure, transportation or electricity, as well as the Decent Life initiative that enhances investment in human capital and improves the conditions of citizens in rural Egypt, explaining that the ministry is working with development partners. Multilateral and bilateral, such as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Islamic Development Bank and others, to support the country’s efforts through promising development financing as well as technical support.
The Minister of International Cooperation stressed the interest in developing and developing relations with all brotherly and friendly countries in a way that achieves common interests and supports peoples’ aspirations to achieve development through serious partnerships.
