Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that his country is looking to the “Arab Big Brother” to help Lebanon overcome the economic and social crisis it is going through.

Mikati said, in an interview with “CNN”, published today, Saturday: “Lebanon is a small country in the Arab world, and we are looking for the big brother from all Arab countries to come and hold our hands and get Lebanon out of this chaos and this is my call to the Arab world. A stable Lebanon will benefit the entire Arab world.”
He explained that he did not receive any response to this appeal, whether positive or negative, during the past week, but he expressed his hope to find a positive response in the coming days.
In response to a question about the presence of allies of “Hezbollah” in his government, Mikati said that he is not obliged to accept their presence in the cabinet.
And between Mikati: “I have two ministers who are friends of Hezbollah, and Hezbollah is a political party in Lebanon, so I cannot bypass this community and this party.”
This comes after Mikati described, on Friday, the delivery of Iranian fuel shipments that “Hezbollah” brought into the country as a “violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty.”
He said: “I am saddened by the violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, but I have no fear of sanctions, because the operation took place in isolation from the Lebanese government.”
