The former head of the Lebanese government, Hassan Diab, left for the United States of America, on Tuesday, before his interrogation session in the case of the explosion in the port of Beirut on September 20, according to Al-Jumhuriya newspaper.
Diab confirmed, according to what Al-Jumhuriya quoted from Al-Sham newspaper, that he “announced in a previous television interview that he intends to travel to see his two sons in America, where they continue to study medicine, and he is longing for them.”Diab added that he will stay outside the country for about four weeks to see his two sons in two American states, after which he will return to Lebanon.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Lebanese judicial investigator in the port explosion referred to the Discriminatory Public Prosecution, a memorandum to bring in former Prime Minister Hassan Diab, after the formation of the new government.
