Syrian weightlifter Maan Asaad won the bronze medal in the 109-kg weightlifting competition.

The Syrian Maan Asaad succeeded in achieving the bronze medal after a strong competition, to achieve a historic achievement for his country.

The bronze medal went to Syrian Maan Asaad, who scored 190 kg in the snatch and 234 kg in the net with a total weight of 424 kg.

Georgian Lasha Talakhader broke three records in the same competition.

Talakhadze lifted a total of 488 kg in a new world and Olympic record, and also broke the netter record by lifting 223 kg in a world and Olympic record as well, before breaking the world and Olympic record in snatching by lifting 265 kg.
