Orange Maroc acquires Etix Everywhere Maroc and acquires a neutral datacenter to international standards

According to Orange Maroc, its new Datacenter constitutes an additional step in the increase in value of the operator’s service offer. Its objective is to support both local businesses and major accounts in their digitalization strategy.

“Data centers make it possible to respond to 2 challenges: the development of IT services for our Business customers in line with the Orange group’s Engage 2025 plan, which provides for the group’s subsidiaries to position themselves as real operators of IT infrastructure services / Telecom in order to support businesses with the advent of 5G. A requirement that promises explosive growth in the volume of data, ”explains Brahim Sbai. AND the B2B Cice-President of Orange Maroc to add: “We will therefore have to review the design of our network architecture, by bringing the hosting centers closer to our branches, in order to guarantee a latency period meeting the new challenges of 5G ”.

The first phase of the datacenter benefits from 100% continuity of service since its commissioning in May 2015. Ultimately, the datacenter will offer more than 1,000 kW of hosting capacity via 3 independent technical modules.
