The Ministry of Health announced this Saturday 925 new Covid-19 contaminations identified in the last 24 hours. This report brings to 465,769 the total number of cases of infection recorded in the Kingdom since the appearance of the first case last March, i.e. a cumulative incidence rate of 1,281.8 per 100,000 inhabitants (2.5 per 100,000 inhabitants during the last 24 hours).

In the classification by regions, Casablanca-Settat still leads with the highest number of new infections recorded in the last 24 hours, at 384 cases. It is followed by the region Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma which now has 160 new cases.

The region of L’Oriental closes the Top 5 with 43 new cases.

Regarding the ranking by cities, the top 5 is made up of Casablanca (308 cases), Tangier-Asilah (51 cases), Al Hoceïma (47 cases), Skhirat-Temara (45 cases) and Agadir-Ida Outanane (39 cases).

The ministry also counted 1,041 patients declared fully recovered over the past 24 hours, for a remission rate of 94.8%. As such, the total number of remissions has so far reached 441,693 cases.

In the same interval, 23 people lost their lives as a result of Covid-19, bringing the total death toll to 8,128 cases, while the case fatality rate remains stabilized at 1.7%.

In addition, the number of tests carried out during the last 24 hours has reached 16,330, bringing the total of tests carried out to date in the Kingdom to 4,813,540.

For its part, the number of active cases stood at 15,948 people, including 772 severe or critical cases (or 67 cases identified during the last 24 hours), among which 65 are placed under intubation.
