It’s incredible! The 101-year-old Nonna Maria Orsingher beat the coronavirus again – for the third time! The sprightly elderly woman never lets herself get down, keeps fighting – and remains unbeaten to this day.

As the “Milano Corriere” writes, Maria Orsingher was born in 1919 in Ardenno (I), not far from the Swiss border. She never had any serious illnesses. In 2014 she moved into a retirement home – safe and sound. But then fate met her: in the spring she tested positive for the corona virus.

«The test left no doubts, she had Covid. But mom was fine, »says her daughter Ines. From then on she looked after her mother together with her sisters Carla, Delfina and Rita.

Maria Orsingher was treated and overcame the corona infection. The daughters thought the worst was over. But in September the coronavirus struck again: Orsingher had a fever – the second infection with corona! This time she had to be admitted to a hospital, where she then spent 18 days.

The doctors called the relatives every day and expressed their astonishment at the super-elderly: small and fragile in appearance, but with an iron character. She didn’t even have breathing problems. The 101-year-old also got away with the second infection!

The nursing home called again at the end of October. Daughter Ines was shocked: “You said that my mother tested positive again in an examination of all patients – this time completely asymptomatic, in good condition and, as always, indomitable. We all couldn’t believe it. ” Not even science can explain the strength of this indomitable woman.

Happy ending: Maria Orsingher defeated the corona virus for the third time. The first thing she wants after being discharged from the hospital: saffron risotto and a good helping of polenta. Ines says: “You never lacked in appetite.” The relatives now hope to be able to hug Maria again, because they have not been allowed to see her for two months. (myi)
