Ninja Warrior: tormented RTL finalist two elephants to death? –...

Budapest – Serious allegations against the stars of the Casselly circus family!

As BILD learned, the police and the Hungarian animal welfare authority “NÉBIH” are investigating the entertainers for violating the animal welfare law, suspected cruelty to animals and the destruction of animal corpses.

The background is the death of the two circus elephants Mambo († 37) and Betty († 35) in mid-August of this year.

The Casselly family kept the death of the stars a secret for weeks, and it was only discovered by animal rights activists. They claimed that the pachyderms were cruelly suffocated in an animal transporter on the grounds of the Szada Safari Park near Budapest in Hungary after a private appearance.

Junior boss René Casselly Jr. (24) told BILD that this was a lie. The animals would have died in a stable, presumably from a virus.

But apparently the authorities have doubts about the statements of the trainer who is fighting in the finale of the current season of “Ninja Warrior Germany” (RTL).

According to the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture, the authorities only found out about the animal death through BILD. “Immediately after the case became known, we launched several preliminary investigations,” said a spokesman.

According to initial findings, the two elephants died on the animal transporter! And: The Casselly family has not reported the death of the pachyderms to the authorities – as they have claimed.

The competent authority has not yet ordered the carcasses to be exhumed because they do not expect any decisive results.

Daniela Freyer (50), co-founder of the animal welfare organization “Pro Wildlife”: “We were told that they had removed the tusks from the elephants before they buried the animals.” BILD asked the authorities. The spokesman: “In order to be able to carry out the current procedure effectively, we cannot answer this question.”

A kilo of ivory is traded on the black market for up to 1700 euros, a whole tusk for around 42,000 euros. “So the grief was so great that we didn’t hear about the animals’ death for almost two months, and the owners had no idea why they were dying. But before the animals were buried, they brutally removed their tusks, ”writes the Hungarian animal welfare organization“ Állatmentő Sereg ”on their page.

Junior boss René Casselly Jr. did not want to comment on the allegations when asked by BILD.
