Emily Murphy claims the White House did not pressure her to postpone the nomination of Joe Biden as the election winner. But she says she has been threatened to do the opposite.

In a letter to Biden, who according to The Washington Post is unusually personal, Murphy writes that she has always tried to do the right thing. She says she has not been directly or indirectly pressured by President Trump or anyone else in the White House.

But, writes the 46-year-old, she has received threats online, by phone or by post. post, “which has been aimed at my safety, my family, my employees and even my pets” in an attempt to get her to make a decision ahead of time.

Murphy and her staff already sent a letter to the White House on Friday announcing that they would point to Biden as the winner of the election. No resignation came. However, Trump wrote on Twitter on Monday that he recommends that Murphy and her staff do what needs to be done. He writes that he has asked his people to do the same.
