Corona virus: – Dennis (28) got corona

Finding their own child dead is probably one of every parent’s biggest nightmare. For the mother of Dennis Johansson (28) from Borås in Sweden, this nightmare became a reality this week.

– It’s completely inconceivable. I did not know what to do, says the mother of Borås Tidning.

Dagbladet has been in contact with Dennis’ family, who have approved that we discuss the death and use a picture of the 28-year-old. Expressen in Sweden has also written about the case.

Tested

It was during Wednesday a week and a half ago that Dennis began to feel unwell. He stayed at home. The next day he had lost both his sense of smell and his sense of taste, and he then tested himself for the coronavirus.

Dennis’ mother tells Borås Tidning that her son tested positive for the virus. She also says that he had a sore throat and cold symptoms in the first few days. He also had a fairly high fever – up to 40 – but he should not have had any problems with breathing.

– Felt better

The days went by, and on Wednesday this week, Dennis said during a phone call with his mother that he felt better.

The next day, Thursday, they talked on the phone again, and then Dennis said he felt much better. His mother also had this impression, and tells Borås Tidning that the son seemed much more alert, but that she experienced that he was a little short of breath when they talked.

In the afternoon she called him again to hear how he was doing. But then the son did not answer the phone. She tried to call him again, but got no response.

Then she became restless, and decided to go home to him, writes Expressen.

In the apartment, she found Dennis lifeless on the couch.

Autopsy

The family says they have been in shock after the death. They also say that it has been decided that an autopsy will be performed, in order to be able to determine the cause of death, despite the fact that they themselves are convinced that it is the covid-19 virus that caused the death.

– You think that it is the elderly who die, but that is not the case. We have learned that now, and now we are trying to get through this, the family says.
