Season four of “The Crown” hits out in a little over a week, and the young actors who play Prince Charles and Princess Diana share how they get into character.

In a recent appearance on “The Graham Norton Show”, Emma Corrin, 24, who plays the late Princess of Wales, and Josh O’Connor (30), who portrays the Prince of Wales, sat with the talk show host in one Society distanced themselves together, revealing the mannerisms they emulated in bringing these world-famous royal figures to life in the hit series.

Norton asked the British actors what “abbreviations” they used when playing the Royals.

O’Connor replied that although he hadn’t spent too much time copying the prince, he had adopted a physical mannerism.

“I noticed one thing. Every time he gets out of a car – he still does – he checks his cufflink, checks his cufflink, checks his pocket square and then waves, ”said the actor. In describing the prince’s habit at length, O’Connor demonstrated every measure taken.

“Every time he goes to a public event or something, it’s cufflink, cufflink, pocket square, wave.”

Norton noted that the 71-year-old prince tends to speak very clearly and that it must have been difficult not to easily get an impression of him.

“I think so much of ‘The Crown’ does that kind of work, but it’s about finding little things that make people feel safe that you’re not doing a random performance. You have the feeling that you recognize something of Charles.

“For example, he does something with Charles with his voice, where he speaks like this, everything is as if through the teeth,” mimicked O’Connor. “Emma is actually great at it,” he says, laughing at his co-star’s interpretation.

“We have competitions that Charles and Diana can do better, and I’m rubbish with Diana, but she’s very good with Charles,” he said.

Norton then asks Corrin, who bears a remarkable resemblance to Princess Diana, especially if she’s wearing a replica of her famous wedding dress, what she was trying to do while playing the intricate, reluctant king.

“Diana, your voice kind of goes down in the end,” Corrin explained. “Your language pattern. My word to get into her is always ‘okay’, ”she demonstrated, adding a special inflection to her tone.

“Everything she says somehow goes under in the end. It’s almost like it always sounds a bit sad, even when she’s having the best time ever, ”she said in a sagging voice.

O’Connor then tried Diana’s voice and said “All right” with a tilt of his head to make the audience laugh.

The fourth season of “The Crown” is scheduled for November 15th on Netflix on November 15th. Viewers should expect the show to cover topics such as Princess Diana’s battle with bulimia, which she was open about during her lifetime, and Charles and Diana’s 1983 tour of Australia.

While Corrin portrays Diana this upcoming season, another actress, Elizabeth Debicki, will portray Lady Di on seasons 5 and 6 of the show.
