Moments of horror … a humpback whale flips a boat with...

Two women whale watchers experienced real moments of horror last Monday, when a huge humpback whale overturned its boat, causing them to suddenly fall into the water off the beach of Avila, California, USA.

The incident was filmed by several people in the region and was widely shared on communication sites and in the media.

One of the two women on the boat, Julie McSurley, told local media that she persuaded her friend on Monday to go rowing with her and take pictures of the whales.

She added that they were able to see the whales and they were away from them, but, in a few seconds, one of them suddenly appeared under their boat.

She explained that the boat capsized in an instant and she and her friend were immediately thrown into the water, but the whale, fortunately, blew the boat again, and the two women escaped death.

One of the women picked up a clip of the whale attack while they were on the boat.

Humpback whales are considered an endangered species, and marine mammal experts say they can be unpredictable and dangerous, and people should keep a large area, equivalent to the size of a football field, between them and the large mammals.

But the Coast Guard believes that implementing this may be difficult, as there may be a large space between a person and the whales, and then in the next moment the whales appear in the place.

Finally, a number of whales have appeared near Morro Bay and Avila Beach, California.

According to marine mammal experts, this type of whale approaches the shore in search of food that is easy to find.
