A school and daycare center in the southern highlands of New South Wales closed after four locally acquired coronavirus infections were confirmed.

According to NSW Health, one of today’s new cases went to Moss Vale Public School while another went to Southern Highlands Early Childhood Center.
Everyone who lives in the Moss Vale area is urged to watch out for COVID-19 symptoms, and anyone who shows mild signs should be tested and isolated the same day pending results.
Both the school and the early childhood center are closed for cleaning today and the contact tracing is ongoing.
Wingecarribee Civic Center in the southern highlands is closed today after an employee was confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.
The center is being cleaned and the Wingecarribee Shire Council said it would reopen Monday on the advice of NSW Health.
The council tries to identify other possible employees or contractors who may have been exposed.
Wingecarribee Council has also closed the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Center because a person with COVID visited the venue on Tuesday, November 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wingecarribee Mayor Duncan Gair urged anyone with symptoms to get tested.
“Every precaution is taken to make sure everyone is as safe as possible and anyone with symptoms gets tested,” he said.
NSW Health also confirmed that five cases were reported among returned travelers in hotel quarantine.
More than 17,000 people were tested during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, NSW Health is warning residents of southwest Sydney to get tested after traces of the virus are found at a sewage pumping station in the area.
Fragments of the virus were detected in samples taken on November 4th in the state sewage monitoring program.
The affected area includes parts of Leppington, Catherine, Gledswood Hills, Varroville and Denham Court.
Anyone with “even the mildest COVID-19 symptoms” is encouraged to get tested and self-isolate until they get a negative result.
Premier “tired” of fighting across borders

“I know friends and family in this situation. Imagine you don’t see loved ones, imagine you couldn’t run your business, imagine your business shut down because of that decision … we’ve all been through enough in 2020, “she said.
Today is also the first time NSW residents have been allowed into Tasmania without being quarantined as the hard border is lifted.
