A frightened school girl hiding her pregnancy gave birth to a boy – and then police said she put him in her freezer to die.

14-year-old Russian Anastasia said she was “too scared” to tell her parents that she was pregnant. So she put the baby in a plastic bag and froze it to death in the family garage at home in Verkh-Tula, Southwest Siberia.

Novosibirsk regional official Nadezhda Boltenko told 360TV that the girl’s mother called an ambulance for the schoolgirl after hearing her screams.

“She heard her moan at night and thought her daughter had appendicitis,” said Ms. Boltenko.

The 14-year-old girl was actually bleeding profusely after going into labor alone.

After the baby was born, she put the baby in a plastic bag and put it in the garage freezer.

In the ambulance, she allegedly told paramedics that she had given birth and told them where she had hidden the child.

The officer working on the investigation called it a “terrible case.”

The school girl is now in “serious” condition in the hospital, she said.

A neighbor who lived close to the family allegedly said she was wondering if the 14-year-old girl was pregnant and mentioned this to Anastasia’s mother.

But the mother replied that her daughter had just gained some weight.

Anastasia Kuleshova, an official on the Russian investigative committee, said “all the circumstances surrounding the child’s death” are being investigated by detectives.

The child’s father is reportedly 16 years old – and he and Anastasia split up over the summer.
