of the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) in the last 24 hours, breaking the record of last Thursday (15), which marked 8,804 new contagions.

The authorities also informed 55 deaths
due to Covid-19, against 83 registered on Thursday. The numbers are much lower than those recorded at the peak of the country’s pandemic in March, when deaths reached more than 1000 a day.

Last Tuesday (13), the government
from Italy had already announced restrictions
to prevent the spread of contagion. For the next 30 days, bars and restaurants were unable to serve customers standing and at the counter after 9 pm, and parties and events indoors were prohibited.

In all, the country registered 391,611 cases and 36,427 deaths
of Covid-19.
