Apple’s ARM-based MacBook could hit the market on November 17th

A few months ago, Apple confirmed that the company is working on its own ARM-supported Apple Silicon that will power the upcoming MacBook. It has also been said that the first such devices will be official this year.

Although the company has not yet officially confirmed the launch date of the upcoming ARBook-based MacBook Jon Prosser

that the MacBooks powered by Apple Silicon could hit the market on November 17th.

Although Apple has confirmed that it is rolling out an ARM-based chipset for the MacBook, the company has also announced that it is not moving away from Intel. So there’s a chance the company will showcase newly updated Intel-based MacBooks at the same event in November.

As indicated in previous reports, the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to launch the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro powered by this new Apple Silicon. Soon after, in the first quarter of 2021, the company will introduce 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks based on the ARM-based Apple Silicon.

In the latest development, Apple has reportedly submitted certification documents to the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECC) for two new MacBooks. Given that ECC certification usually comes a few weeks before launch, the company actually seems to be on track to launch new ARM-based MacBooks in November.

The Apple MacBook with Apple Silicon is said to offer better performance and longer battery life. They are also expected to be cheaper compared to the models currently available on the market.
