A Thai soldier has killed at least 12 people in the north-eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, local media reported on Saturday.

The soldier reportedly stole a Humvee from his base and then proceeded to drive around the province's Korat City on a shooting spree, police said.

He proceeded to shoot at shoppers inside a mall in the city, Thai Rath, the biggest-selling newspaper in Thailand, reported. It said that he took a selfie during the attack.

His whereabouts are unknown.
